eRMIONE

ERMIONE stands for
e-learning Resource Management service for interoperability Networks in the European cultural heritage domain

eRMIONE is an eRM (e-learning Resource Management) service targeting Higher Education Institutions all over Europe. The service allows teachers to deliver their courses by e-learning modality to virtual classes grouping students all over Europe. These mixed studying groups will be able to follow multi-cultural education programmes and share their experiences, enhancing the access to the European cultural heritage.

The objective of the project is to lead the validation of its eRM services in the cultural heritage domain. The project foresees three major milestones, that can be identified as:

  • Set up and start up of pilot sites
  • eRMIONE service fully validated and refined
  • Deployment plan of eRMIONE

The expected result is the demonstration of the viability of an innovative e-learning service in the cultural heritage domain, by testing, validating and finalising the eRMIONE eRM services.

The project started in October 2005 and finished in March 2007.
