Râul Dâmboviţa în faţa Halelor Centrale (1926)
The Dimbovitza River in front of the
Central Covered Market (1926)
This a panoramic view of the Dimbovitza, on the
left we can see the Central Covered Market and the
merchants of carpets and different small things on
the quay. Near the bridge, though, there are forms
of organized trade: the candy, chocolate, natural
drinks, lemonade stand. The riverbed was arranged,
but the works have stopped recently because trees
were planted, even though they have small sizes, for
the moment. The modern infrastructure is starting to
work: public lighting, electric trams, and in the
right, the first buses (Ionescu’s note).
